How Our Plans Work

At Nunes Partners, we offer affordable healthcare plans for individuals and employers that can be customized to meet their unique needs. Each of our clients has a unique story and a reason why traditional health insurance isn’t working for them. Maybe their medical bills are too expensive under their employer-sponsored plan. Or they work as a 1099 contractor and need an affordable alternative to marketplace healthcare.

We also work with small business owners who aren’t required to offer insurance but want to provide additional value to their employees. No matter what your reason is for exploring health insurance alternatives, we’re glad you’re here. Keep reading to learn how we build our plans.

Custom Healthcare and Financial Solutions

Our mission is to provide custom healthcare and financial solutions that make sense for you, so we will never prescribe a one-size-fits-all plan. If you are an employer, you can choose to pay for your employee’s plan up to a certain amount and let them choose the products or select specific products that your employees can opt into.

If you are an individual, we can help you build a comprehensive healthcare plan that covers everything from preventative care to short-term disability, or simply add to your existing coverage to get the financial security you need. Our healthcare plans are built on three main building blocks: direct primary care, medical cost sharing, and supplemental insurance. On the financial side, we offer life insurance and tax-free retirement options.

Primary Care Membership

The first building block to an affordable healthcare plan is a direct primary care membership. Direct primary care allows you to pay a low monthly fee to see your doctor as often as you need. Preventative care, minor lab work, and office visits are included with no copay, coinsurance, or deductible. Direct primary care covers 80-90% of your day-to-day medical needs while bypassing the delays and markups of traditional health insurance.

Healthcare Cost Sharing

Medical cost sharing essentially takes the place of your high-deductible employer-sponsored health insurance. If you have a medical event that can’t be handled by your primary care physician, you’ll pay an initial unshareable amount that usually starts around $1,000. Then, all of your remaining costs for that injury or illness are shared.

Supplemental Insurance Plans

The last building block that we use at Nunes Partners is supplemental insurance. You can purchase supplemental insurance for anything from hospitalization or cancer to pregnancy. These plans pay you a certain amount of money based on the treatment that you received, regardless of the actual out of pocket cost. These funds can be used to cover rent, pay medical bills, or however else you see fit.
