No Cancer November Casino Night
Our signature “No Cancer November” Casino Night represents Nunes Partners’ commitment to raising awareness about prostate and gynecologic cancers while destigmatizing conversations around these important health concerns. Born from personal experience when Leo received a prostate cancer diagnosis at age 49 in 2022, this annual fundraiser addresses a significant gap in resources for men facing prostate cancer while also supporting women facing gynecologic cancers. The event combines entertainment with education, creating a powerful platform for community support that drives real change for cancer patients.
Why No Cancer November Matters
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men—the same odds as women developing breast cancer—yet remains significantly under-discussed in healthcare conversations. While September is designated as prostate cancer awareness month, it doesn't receive the same visibility as other cancer awareness campaigns. Similarly, gynecologic cancers often get overshadowed by breast cancer awareness efforts, despite being more fatal due to late detection in many cases. By focusing specifically on these causes during our Casino Night, we aim to bring much-needed attention, resources, and support to these critical health issues.
Our Growing Impact
The success of No Cancer November demonstrates our community's commitment to supporting cancer patients through tangible action. Starting in 2022 with a modest but meaningful donation of $4,500, our impact has grown substantially each year—reaching $7,000 in 2023, $10,500 in 2024, and $28,000 in 2025. For 2026, we've set an ambitious goal of $40,000, reflecting our determination to expand our support for essential patient services, financial assistance programs, and mentorship opportunities for those battling cancer. Every dollar raised goes directly to our charity partners, ensuring maximum impact for those who need it most.

Fountain Creek Watershed Cleanups
Nunes Partners demonstrates environmental stewardship through our dedicated participation in the Fountain Creek Watershed cleanup initiatives. Since 2022, we have proudly adopted a section of Cheyenne Creek, organizing and leading multiple community cleanups that create tangible environmental impact. Our commitment remains unwavering regardless of volunteer turnout—sometimes with as many as 25 community members joining our efforts, and other times with just our core team tackling the challenge. Each cleanup yields remarkable results, with an average of 30 bags of debris removed from our waterways, including everything from boat chairs and barbecue grills to vacuum cleaners and countless harmful items that would otherwise pollute our ecosystem.
Our watershed protection efforts recognize the profound connection between environmental and human health. What enters our local waterways eventually reaches the Arkansas River and potentially the Gulf of Mexico, creating both local and global impact. By removing pollution before it travels downstream, we contribute to healthier communities, cleaner drinking water, and more sustainable ecosystems that support wildlife throughout the watershed.
