Leo Nunes is the Founder and CEO of Nunes Partners, a Colorado-based employee benefits firm dedicated to helping small and mid-sized businesses deliver smarter, more affordable health insurance solutions. With a focus on transparency, innovation, and real human impact, Leo has become a trusted advisor for business owners looking to improve care, reduce costs, and empower their teams with benefits that actually benefit them.

Before entering the insurance and benefits space in 2017, Leo built a career grounded in service, strategy, and relationship-building. But everything changed when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 49. Instead of following a traditional path, Leo pursued advanced, minimally invasive treatments combined with holistic lifestyle changes — a decision that preserved his quality of life and reframed his entire approach to health and wellness.
That personal journey ignited a mission.

Today, Leo is a national voice in the fight for prostate cancer awareness, actively lobbying Congress, fundraising through his nonprofit — the Nunes Foundation — and organizing bold, public campaigns like his Mt. Kilimanjaro climb to spotlight the 3.3 million men currently living with prostate cancer in the U.S.
Through Nunes Partners, Leo is helping businesses rethink what’s possible when it comes to employee benefits. His work blends smart strategy with deep compassion — simplifying complex systems, removing unnecessary costs, and putting people back at the center of every plan.

Leo lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and business partner Brandy, their rescue dogs, and a deep commitment to helping others heal — whether that’s through better coverage, better care, or simply showing them what’s possible when we challenge the status quo.
