Brandy Nunes is the Co-Founder and President of Nunes Partners, a Colorado-based employee benefits firm dedicated to helping small business owners access smarter, more affordable healthcare solutions. With a background in journalism, marketing, and design, Brandy brings fresh thinking, strategic vision, and a deep personal mission to an industry in need of innovation and heart.

Her passion for healthcare advocacy began in 2015, when her husband and now business partner, Leo, was hospitalized for five days. Despite having employer-sponsored insurance, they were hit with unexpected out-of-network charges—an experience that exposed the cracks in the traditional healthcare system and sent them on a journey to find something better. That experience led Brandy to explore free-market and nontraditional healthcare models, opening her eyes to more transparent, cost-effective solutions that truly prioritize people over profit.
That wake-up call sparked a career change and a calling.

Today, Brandy helps employers rethink what’s possible when it comes to benefits—cutting through red tape, removing unnecessary costs, and designing plans that actually serve people. Her work blends smart, creative strategy with lived experience and a fierce commitment to financial and physical wellness.
Outside of Nunes Partners, Brandy is an outspoken cancer advocate and nonprofit leader. She serves as Board President for Sue’s Gift, a Colorado nonprofit supporting those impacted by gynecologic cancer, and co-founded The Nunes Foundation, which supports causes tied to health, clean water, and animal welfare. She leads their signature fundraiser, No Cancer November, and regularly advocates for healthcare reform on Capitol Hill alongside ZERO Prostate Cancer. She also organizes local environmental efforts through their adopted waterway benefiting the Fountain Creek Watershed.

Whether she’s building benefit strategies, fundraising for cancer support, or cleaning up local trails, Brandy is driven by a single belief: people deserve better.
